The Role of a Barista

IKEA Alsulaiman is seeking a Barista to join our team in Dhahran, located in the Eastern region. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The primary objective of this role is to provide excellent customer service within the Swedish Market & Bistro. This involves preparing and serving food and beverages, accurately processing customer transactions, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The Barista contributes to enhancing the overall customer experience and reinforcing IKEA's standing as a leading home furnishing retailer.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Accurately take customer orders and assist with menu selections.
• Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and other food and beverage items in accordance with IKEA standards.
• Process customer transactions accurately using approved payment methods.
• Perform cash opening and closing procedures and reconcile the cash drawer.
• Maintain accurate sales records and report any cash discrepancies.
• Ensure the Swedish Market & Bistro, cashier area, beverage station, and work areas are clean, organized, fully stocked, and prepared for customers.
• Adhere to IKEA Food standards and all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Safely and efficiently operate coffee machines, food preparation equipment, and point-of-sale systems.
• Promote IKEA Food products and seasonal offers while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a customer service or food service environment.
• Possession of a valid Health card.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Dhahran, Eastern region, within the fast-paced environment of the IKEA Swedish Market & Bistro. The role requires active engagement with customers and adherence to operational standards to ensure a positive experience for all visitors.
