SHE Co ordinator

About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a SHE Co-ordinator to join their team in Dhahran. This full-time role involves overseeing and driving all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) related activities within a designated area of responsibility. The SHE Co-ordinator ensures the effective implementation of the SHE policy and management system requirements across all operational locations within their scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate major incidents and accidents, and assist in accident, incident, and significant near-miss investigations as required.
• Audit SHE arrangements and their application across the business.
• Monitor SHE performance and the implementation of Group and Business unit SHE Policy, Standards, and Procedures within BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
• Provide practical interpretation of legal requirements related to SHE matters to managers and staff.
• Offer competent advice and assistance to all staff to help them discharge their responsibilities under the SHE Policy.
• Provide oversight, support, advice, and guidance to other SHE Coordinators within their areas of responsibility regarding the application and delivery of SHE policy and Standards.
• Assist risk assessors and participate in the Risk Assessment Team when required.
• Provide competent advice on the safety aspects of host country legislation, approved codes of practice and standards, and information from relevant professional bodies.
• Ensure the integrity, validation, accuracy, and currency of data on the SHE Intranet Site and Reporting metrics, and collate statistics and management reports.
• Support the area manager or SHE Manager by acting as a central source of competent advice on all SHE issues, ensuring consistency across BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
• Carry out Contractor Assessments for Service Contractors in accordance with defined processes.
• Provide competent advice and guidance during SHE Committee Meetings.
• Assist in attaining and maintaining relevant international standards (*, 45001/14001).
• Deliver mandated training such as SHE Induction, BeSafe, Fire Awareness, and Fire Warden Training as detailed in the "SHE Training" document.
• Develop and deliver workplace-specific training courses (*, MH, WAH, COSHH, RA) identified through risk assessments, accident investigations, or trend analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates must demonstrate appropriate qualifications and experience, and be eligible to register with the MHRSD as either an Occupational Health & Safety Practitioner or a Professional, as per Ministerial Decision 76509.
• Possess technical knowledge of sufficient level and depth to support all aspects of the business area deployed in.
• Technical experience should include manufacturing, multi-site operations, contractor management, leisure facilities, and hazardous substances.
• Specific experience in the aviation industry, military engineering, systems support, and support services at a practical and operational level is desirable.
