About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare is seeking a Critical Care Nurse 3 to provide advanced-level nursing care in an assigned unit in Al Qatif. This full-time role involves supporting operational processes, maintaining high standards of patient care, and resolving complex clinical issues. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving nursing practices within the assigned unit.
• Participate in the development of protocols and processes to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
• Support the empowerment of nurses through the enculturation of the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care services, with a focus on complex cases.
• Assist in managing workflow, ensuring proper resource utilization, and providing mentorship to junior nurses.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and participate in the evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Precept new hires and trainees during their probation training period, and provide recommendations regarding their progress and training needs.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and life-saving situations using clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices.
• Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.

Patient Care and Quality Standards

The Critical Care Nurse 3 is responsible for achieving and sustaining a high quality of care and patient safety, ensuring a positive patient experience, and pursuing high staff engagement. This includes utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, specific to the patient's age.

Professional Development and Mentorship

This role involves mentoring intermediate-level nurses and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient care delivery. The Critical Care Nurse 3 must achieve and/or maintain the mandated set of activities for Level 3, which requires a minimum total of 20 points in at least four categories within each 12-month cycle, as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program. Completion of required unit-based critical care competencies is also essential.

Patient and Family Education

The nurse will provide patient and family education consistent with the plan of care and needs of the patients, respecting their privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture. This involves demonstrating acceptance, caring, and empathy, and utilizing appropriate resources when applicable.

Experience and Location
