About the Role

National Aquaculture Group | NAQUA is seeking an experienced Aquaculture Technician to contribute to our shrimp production operations. Based in Al Lith, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, this full-time position is critical for supporting pond management, ensuring water quality, managing feeding activities, and maintaining biosecurity compliance. The role requires a professional with 2-5 years of dedicated experience in aquaculture.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor water-quality parameters, including dissolved oxygen, temperature, salinity, pH, ammonia, and alkalinity.
Support pond preparation, stocking, feeding, sampling, and harvest-readiness activities.
Monitor shrimp growth, survival, biomass, feeding response, health, and behaviour.
Identify operational or water-quality deviations and implement approved corrective actions.
Maintain accurate pond, feed, mortality, sampling, and water-quality records.
Ensure compliance with HSE, biosecurity, chemical-handling, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

A minimum of 2-5 years of practical experience in aquaculture, with a focus on pond operations and shrimp production support.
Demonstrated practical knowledge of water-quality testing methodologies, effective feeding management strategies, and comprehensive shrimp-health monitoring.
Proficiency in using water-quality meters, various field-monitoring tools, and standard Microsoft Office applications for record-keeping and reporting.

Work Environment

This role requires a willingness to work in field conditions, including various shifts, weekends, and during emergencies when operational needs dictate.
