We are seeking an Avionic Maintenance Technician to join our team in Al Majma'ah in a full-time capacity.

The Role of Avionic Maintenance Technician

The purpose of this role is to ensure the provision of operationally capable aircraft in support of King Faisal Air Academy (KFAA) pilot training programmes. This is achieved by carrying out essential aircraft servicing, fault troubleshooting and rectification, implementing modifications, conducting inspections and evaluations of aircraft systems and components, and managing other related aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical specialty support in the evaluation, interpretation, determination of requisite corrective actions, and assessment of performance and operational status for specialty-specific aircraft systems, components, and test-support equipment at the Intermediate level maintenance of PC-21 aircraft.
• Achieve and maintain Production Inspections signatory capability for authorised specific trade certifications.
• Obtain and maintain necessary certifications to support specialty and aircraft maintenance functions.
• Prepare items for calibration within the designated work area.
• Carry out Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) and Special inspections when directed.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of Aircraft Safety devices and Aircraft operating areas.
• Ensure compliance with tool control procedures and the KFAA SAFO program.
• Support deployments to other bases within and outside Saudi Arabia when required, and be able to prepare equipment to support these deployments.
• Monitor all supply issues affecting the Jet engine aircraft Elect/Avionics Shop.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment, supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training, OR experience on the same aircraft type, OR successful completion of a BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/TSNTTP).
• A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or a suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
• Relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment-specific training, if required.
• Saudi Engineering Council (SEC) Registration.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering principles.
• Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety protocols, and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

• Broad Aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge.
• An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
• A sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to the work area.
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Document Management Systems (DMS), and an understanding of M&CA processes.
