Environmental Coordinator

About the Role

Nesma United Industries is seeking an experienced Environmental Coordinator to join its team in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is dedicated to supporting and managing environmental activities across various project sites, ensuring adherence to environmental standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Environmental Management Plan.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi environmental regulations, client requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Monitor waste management, recycling, pollution prevention, dust, noise, wastewater, and emissions.
• Manage environmental incidents, spills, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Deliver environmental awareness training and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain environmental records, permits, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Support sustainability and ESG initiatives.

Educational Background and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, HSE, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of environmental management experience.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial projects is preferred.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, environmental compliance, waste management, and pollution control.
• Proficiency in communication, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications and Project Experience

• A NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate is preferred.
• ISO 14001 Internal/Lead Auditor certification is considered an advantage.
• Experience with major projects such as Aramco, NEOM, Royal Commission, or Red Sea is preferred.
