Field Operator

About the Role

Acwa is seeking a Local Operator to join their team in An Nu'ayriyah. This full-time position involves monitoring system operation parameters locally and coordinating with the CCR Operator on all related activities that impact operations. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Job Summary

The Local Operator is responsible for overseeing the operational parameters of the system at a local level. This includes ensuring safe startup and shutdown of the plant in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Close coordination with the Central Control Room (CCR) Operator is essential for all operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain familiarity with fire equipment within the designated area.
• Follow instructions provided by the Shift Supervisor/Shift Charge Engineer and CCR Operator.
• Be familiar with plant P&IDs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, basic control logics, and emergency operation procedures.
• Monitor all operational parameters and record periodic readings on log sheets.
• Summarize all activities and events that occur during the shift in the log book.
• Inspect the operational area and auxiliaries during the shift to ensure all equipment parameters are within specified limits.
• Report any abnormalities to the CCR Operator.
• Perform equipment changeovers according to preset schedules.
• Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.
• Coordinate with the CCR Operator/Shift Supervisor for isolating and lining up equipment and systems before and after maintenance activities.
• Maintain a tidy work area and ensure cleanup after maintenance work.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Assist in the training and familiarization of new operators.
• Report near misses and implement prescribed risk controls.
• Report deviations in the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System.
• Ensure proper waste disposal measures are followed.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant operational role.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and control operational parameters.
• Proficiency in following standard operating procedures and safety regulations.

Work Environment

This role requires readiness to work in a remote location.
