Role Overview

The Director - Support Services leads all enabling functions for Botanica Red Sea in Umluj. This full-time role encompasses Finance & Accounting, Human Resources & Government Relations, Procurement, Administration, and HSSE & Compliance. The Director also coordinates IT and systems with the RSG Group to ensure efficient and compliant operations across all business units. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing a controlled cost base, overseeing accurate payroll, ensuring compliant hiring and retention for a large in-house workforce, and maintaining reliable procurement processes. This position requires over 15 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Finance & Accounting: Own financial records, month-end close, management accounts, and contract-level P&L. Manage billing, receivables, payables, cash flow forecasting, and banking, ensuring VAT and e-invoicing compliance. Produce P&L by business unit and revenue stream, and support PMO on budgeting, cost control, and financial modelling. Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Human Resources & Government Relations: Lead workforce planning and recruitment for all business units, including the in-house landscape maintenance workforce. Manage reward, retention, and engagement programmes, focusing on critical roles. Oversee payroll, GOSI, Qiwa, and Muqeem processes, work permits, residency renewals, and Saudization compliance. Manage accommodation, welfare standards, training, and HR policies.
• Procurement & Supplier Management: Set sourcing strategy and manage the procurement lifecycle through the Senior Manager – Procurement, including needs assessment, RFQs, evaluation, purchase orders, and supplier performance. Manage supplier contracts for plants, imports, inputs, equipment, and services. Support stores control, inventory valuation, and asset records.
• Administration & Document Control: Manage office services, document control, records retention, and internal communication systems. Maintain policies, procedures, and the Delegation of Authority register.
• IT, Systems & Data: Coordinate ERP, HRIS, inventory, and fleet systems with RSG Group IT, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for staff, contracts, and assets. Ensure data integrity and access controls for financial and personnel data.
• Leadership & Governance: Lead the Shared Services department (17 FTE) to support the full nursery and landscape maintenance workforce.
• Policies, Systems, Processes & Standards: Follow and enforce all relevant Botanica and RSG Group policies, delegation of authority, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
• Safety, Quality & Environment: Apply and champion the safety, quality, and environmental management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and the compliance management system (ISO 37301).
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead opportunities to improve departmental systems, processes, and practices, focusing on cost reduction, productivity improvement, and client value.

Work Environment

The Shared Services department supports a business with multiple revenue streams and a substantial in-house field workforce. The role involves managing high volumes of hiring, payroll, residency, permit processes, accommodation, and procurement, where accuracy is critical due to direct impacts on employee pay and legal status. The Director must also provide accurate cost reporting by business unit to inform pricing and investment decisions.
