About the Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Chef de Partie Bakery to join the team at Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea, located in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for delivering the brand's vision of helping guests reconnect with themselves, others, and the world. The Chef de Partie Bakery will play a key role in safeguarding these pillars, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and active participation in all brand initiatives to uphold the distinctive Six Senses standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Assume full responsibility for the quality of all products served.
• Inspect incoming produce to ensure all food merchandise complies with order sheets, receiving records, and purchasing specifications.
• Adhere consistently to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and established kitchen rules and guidelines.
• Execute proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Assist in controlling the outlet's operational budget, ensuring strict cost management to maximize profitability.
• Record guest complaints, requests, and resolutions, reporting them to the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
• Fully understand and comply with Six Senses' policies regarding fire, hygiene, and safety.
• Ensure all equipment and working areas are maintained in a clean and good working condition.
• Uphold Six Senses guidelines and standards for service and operation, striving to maintain and exceed performance benchmarks.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and address guest feedback effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2-4 years of kitchen experience in a full-service outlet or a similar luxury hotel setting, with proven results.
• A hospitality diploma or degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Proficient knowledge of broiler equipment and a strong understanding of meat and fish cookery.
• Excellent knife skills.
• Understanding of the farm-to-table concept.
• Possession of alcohol awareness certification and/or a food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agencies.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
