Accor is seeking a Director of Operations for Raffles The Red Sea, a luxury resort located in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. Positioned within the kingdom's Red Sea Project, Raffles The Red Sea offers 361 rooms, 11 distinct dining concepts including an overwater restaurant, and a dedicated Spa. The property is designed as a sanctuary of refined elegance, blending Raffles’ legendary graciousness and personalized service with the natural beauty and sustainability ethos of Red Sea Global.

The Role of Director of Operations

This full-time role involves leading all operational aspects of the luxury resort. The Director of Operations will oversee the seamless execution of daily operations while driving strategic initiatives focused on enhancing guest experiences and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, decisive decision-making skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies and policies that align with organizational objectives and luxury hospitality standards.
• Oversee all operational departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and security, ensuring seamless coordination and efficiency.
• Manage operating budgets, monitor financial performance, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize profitability and resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operations team members, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all local regulations, safety protocols, and international hospitality standards specific to Saudi Arabian operations.
• Maintain and enhance guest satisfaction levels by implementing quality assurance programs and addressing operational challenges proactively.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Conduct regular property inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain facility standards and guest-facing areas.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive revenue optimization, operational efficiency, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Prepare and present detailed operational reports, performance metrics, and recommendations to executive management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive operations management experience in luxury hospitality environments.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale resort or hotel operations with multi-million dollar budgets.
• Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, financial analysis, and budget optimization.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality operations, guest service standards, and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Experience with property management systems and hospitality technology platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, effective across all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian business practices, regulations, and cultural considerations is highly desirable.
