Safety Officer Position at ABQ Company

ABQ Company is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join its team in Abqaiq, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for implementing workplace health and safety standards and ensuring regulatory compliance across operations. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Purpose of the Role

The Safety Officer will play a critical role in protecting employees, property, and facilities from workplace hazards by implementing effective HSE policies and safety procedures. This position involves promoting a strong safety culture and working closely with management and operational teams to maintain high safety standards. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with OSHA standards and local Saudi safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement workplace safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and Saudi/local safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor workplace safety performance and recommend improvements.
• Organize safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
• Develop emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to inspections, incidents, audits, and employee safety training.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to strengthen safety practices.
• Provide guidance and support to employees regarding workplace health and safety.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar HSE role.
• Demonstrated ability to implement workplace health and safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of OSHA standards and local Saudi safety regulations.

Compensation and Work Environment

The salary for this full-time position is up to SAR 7,675 per month, which includes a SAR 675 food allowance.
