About NEOM Green Hydrogen Company

NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is developing the world's largest green ammonia production facility, supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the global transition to sustainable energy. The project integrates up to 4 GW of renewable energy and is scheduled to commence operations in 2026 in Tabuk, Neom.

The Role of Plant Computing Senior Engineer

The Plant Computing Senior Engineer is responsible for the operation, support, and optimization of plant computing systems. This full-time role focuses on AspenTech solutions, operational technology (OT) systems, OT infrastructure, and IT/OT integration. The position ensures the reliability, availability, and cybersecurity of critical operational systems that support production and engineering activities. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, IT teams, and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and contribute to projects that improve plant performance and digitalization. This role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and support plant computing systems, including AspenTech solutions, SIMATIC, GE Vernova Advanced Energy Management System (E-Terra Habitat), and other engineering tools.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and security of OT systems.
  • Develop and execute maintenance schedules and strategies to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in projects involving the implementation, upgrade, and optimization of OT systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project activities with business objectives and manufacturing requirements.
  • Provide technical support, administration, and troubleshooting for AspenTech and other OT solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Support the integration and data flow between OT systems and IT platforms.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and standards.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to support OT systems and evaluate products and services against operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address business needs related to OT systems.
  • Ensure OT systems comply with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support cybersecurity measures to protect operational systems and participate in audits and assessments.

Additional Accountabilities

  • Support system audits, compliance reviews, and disaster recovery exercises.
  • Assist in training plant personnel on OT and IT systems.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving IT, OT, and process engineering teams.
  • Support proof-of-concept evaluations for new technologies.
  • Provide on-call support for critical OT and plant computing issues.
