The Role: Information Technology Assistant

Jayasom Wellness Resort Amaala is seeking an Information Technology Assistant for a full-time position in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to supporting the leadership team in translating the resort's strategy into actionable programs and activities. The Assistant provides high-level technical support and systems analysis to identify, prevent, and resolve service interruptions across the property’s networks and systems. Additionally, the role involves acting as an ambassador for the company’s wellness and sustainability culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise, leadership, and project coordination to support and maintain the continuity of the property’s computer systems and networks.
• Monitor systems usage and needs, and research, identify, and recommend new hardware and applications to improve stability and support future management information system requirements.
• Recommend and implement policies and practices to maximize resource utilization.
• Take a lead role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the data recovery aspects of the property’s disaster recovery plan.
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the layout for computers and equipment, ensuring efficient operation and effective use of allotted space.
• Maintain knowledge of developments in IT systems and hardware, incorporating new developments into the resort's future systems.
• Continuously analyze complex business needs and recommend technical solutions.
• Lead and prioritize the workload of subordinates.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of application software to ensure smooth integration of information systems and maximize data flow efficiency.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all information systems software and provide support and training to staff on application software and business processes.
• Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Maintain effective communication across all organizational levels and foster a friendly, dynamic, and collaborative work environment.
• Work towards exceeding company business targets and adopt a positive, resourceful, and innovative approach to projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc/BA in Information Technology or Computer Science (preferred).
• Proven experience in an IT role, preferably within a resort environment, with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with multicultural teams.
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of information systems management, computer science, software applications, database management, and hospitality industry IT trends.
