About Ninja and the Role

Ninja is seeking a Category Specialist to join our team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time position involves leading the management of our sweet product range, focusing on strategic development and market performance within the region.

Role Purpose

The Category Specialist will be instrumental in developing and executing category strategies to drive growth and enhance customer satisfaction within the sweets segment. This involves conducting thorough market analysis, monitoring industry trends, and collaborating across various departments to ensure our sweet offerings are competitive and meet consumer demands effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze market trends and consumer preferences specific to the sweets category to inform product assortment and pricing strategies.
Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to secure high-quality sweet products while optimizing cost and availability.
Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to enhance product visibility and create impactful promotional campaigns.
Monitor category performance metrics and utilize data to make informed decisions that drive sales and profitability.
Conduct regular reviews of category performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet market demands and business objectives.
Participate in the planning and execution of seasonal and promotional product launches.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure Ninja maintains a leading position in the sweet products category.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in category management, product management, or buying, preferably within the food or sweets segment.

Required Skills and Attributes

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, for performance metric analysis.
Creative mindset with a passion for sweets and a keen understanding of consumer trends.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
