About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Consultant – Urology to provide specialized urology care at the ICC physical clinic in Jeddah. This part-time, in-person role involves addressing a broad range of genitourinary conditions, delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care during scheduled clinic sessions, and ensuring continuity of care. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, in-person urology care during scheduled part-time clinic sessions, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of acute and chronic urological conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, including history taking, physical examination, and review of relevant laboratory, imaging, and urodynamic findings.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based management plans, including medication management, lifestyle interventions, and referrals for procedures, imaging, or specialist input when indicated.
  • Manage complex urology conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia, urolithiasis, recurrent urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, male infertility, and urologic oncology surveillance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver integrated, patient-centered care and ensure continuity of care with the full-time clinical team between sessions.
  • Promote urological and men's/women's health through preventive care, including PSA screening counseling, chronic disease management, and population health principles.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing clear guidance on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards, maintaining accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation for all in-clinic encounters.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based urology practice and in-clinic regulations through continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to clinical governance by participating in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and regulatory compliance programs within part-time hours.

Professional Development and Documentation

  • Continuously enhance clinical knowledge in urology and best practices through participation in relevant conferences, workshops, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  • Integrate the latest clinical evidence into practice to improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in compliance with organizational policies and data privacy regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the clinic's EHR system and participate in ongoing training to optimize performance and user experience.

Patient Safety and Collaboration

  • Uphold the highest standards of patient safety by delivering safe, evidence-based care and adhering to established clinical safety protocols.
  • Identify, report, and escalate patient safety risks, incidents, and quality concerns in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered consultations through effective communication, comprehensive clinical assessment, empathy, and shared decision-making.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care and optimize clinical outcomes, ensuring continuity between part-time in-clinic sessions and full-time coverage.
  • Mentor and support junior physicians and healthcare professionals through clinical guidance and knowledge sharing during scheduled clinic time.
