About the Role

MySouq is seeking a Head of Marketing to establish and scale its marketing function. This full-time position, based in Jeddah and Makkah, requires over 10 years of experience and focuses on building the brand, expanding the customer base, and growing the marketplace. The role demands a hands-on marketing leader capable of developing comprehensive strategies, establishing brand identity, acquiring customers, driving transactions, and creating a scalable growth engine. It combines strategic marketing, brand building, customer acquisition, performance marketing, e-commerce, social media, content, influencer marketing, CRM, analytics, and commercial thinking.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute MySouq's overall marketing and growth strategy, including the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for Saudi Arabia.
Establish the MySouq brand positioning and identity in the Saudi market, ensuring consistent brand communication across all channels.
Lead customer acquisition strategies across paid, organic, social, influencer, referral, and partnership channels to drive growth, transactions, revenue, and GMV.
Oversee performance marketing strategy across digital channels, monitoring campaign performance and optimizing spend.
Formulate social media, content, and influencer marketing strategies, developing Arabic-first and culturally relevant content.
Develop CRM and customer retention strategies, optimizing the digital customer journey for acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention.
Plan and execute major brand and product launch campaigns, coordinating with various internal and external teams.
Manage the annual marketing budget, allocating investment based on commercial returns and business objectives.
Establish a comprehensive marketing performance measurement framework, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management.
Build and develop the MySouq marketing team, manage external agencies, and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.

Key Performance Indicators

Customer acquisition and growth, including new customer acquisition.
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).
Conversion rate, revenue growth, and GMV growth.
Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) / marketing ROI.
Active customers, customer retention rate, and repeat purchase rate.
Marketing-qualified traffic, brand awareness, and engagement.
Campaign performance and influencer/creator campaign performance.
Marketing budget efficiency and customer growth economics.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, E-commerce, or a related field; an MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Over 10 years of experience, with a strong background in e-commerce, marketplaces, consumer technology, apps, quick commerce, digital retail, social commerce, fintech, or consumer-focused businesses.
Proven experience launching, building, or scaling a brand or digital business.
Significant experience in the Saudi / KSA market is highly preferred, coupled with a strong understanding of Saudi consumer behavior, culture, digital channels, social media, and the influencer ecosystem.
Demonstrated ability to manage marketing budgets and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
Experience working directly with CEOs, founders, owners, or senior executives.
