QC Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Harjai Technologies is seeking a QC Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Makkah, with work also extending to Jeddah. This full-time position involves managing and supervising mechanical Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. The role offers a negotiable salary.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support mechanical Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities.
• Conduct and supervise mechanical inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and approved procedures.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, US standards, and project-specific quality requirements.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
• Monitor contractors' inspection activities and evaluate the quality of their reports.
• Review material inspection, testing procedures, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with project management, purchasing, contractors, and inspection teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Identify non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and documentation for project audits.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members on quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Ensure compliance with project contractual quality requirements, including Schedule Q and applicable WER quality and inspection requirements.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical QA/QC and quality management systems, coupled with a solid understanding of mechanical engineering standards and inspection methodologies.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience in mechanical QA/QC, quality inspections, and Quality Management Systems.
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering standards, material testing, and inspection methods.
• Ability to review technical documents, identify quality issues, and implement corrective actions.

Work Location

This position is based in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
