Supervisor Stewards

About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Supervisor-Stewards to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position involves directing and assisting stewards to ensure efficient clean-up operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and stock management within the kitchen and banquet areas. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and assist stewards to ensure efficient clean-up processes.
• Monitor and document appropriate water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning.
• Support banquet operations by assisting with plate-ups and providing cooks with necessary items.
• Transport and ensure adequate stock levels for banquet and buffet services.
• Return cleaned items to their designated storage locations.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.

Operational Duties and Team Support

• Assist management with various employee-related tasks, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure personal appearance and uniform are clean and professional at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards and anticipate their service needs.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Comfortable moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or * equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification is required for this role.
