About the Role

Airbus Helicopters Arabia for Aircraft Maintenance is seeking a B2 Avionics Technician for a contract position in Makkah, specifically covering Jeddah and Makkah. This role is crucial for providing optimal service support for maintenance and flight line activities, aiming for excellent fleet availability while upholding the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

The B2 Avionics Technician will be responsible for a range of maintenance and inspection tasks, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include:

  • Complying with all Aviation, Safety, Quality, and Export Control Regulations and Procedures.
  • Adhering to all Airbus Helicopters Management Systems, Policies, and Regulations.
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the helicopter fleet within a customer environment, either individually or as part of a team.
  • Undertaking aircraft maintenance, repair, inspection tasks, quality checks, and completing documentation in accordance with Company and Customer procedures.
  • Checking tools and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for condition and expiration date before maintenance, and ensuring their correct use.
  • Inspecting components and parts for conditions (damages, leaks, etc.) and verifying documentation applicability before maintenance.
  • Performing electrical assembly, integration, modification, system repairs, first-level Quality inspection, and functional tests of aircraft and components.
  • Analyzing performance and isolating malfunctions of integrated avionic instrument and flight control systems.
  • Conducting checkouts of avionic instrument and flight control systems and components, including repairs, overhauls, modifications, alignments, and installation.
  • Inspecting avionic instrument and flight control systems.
  • Ensuring all work performed is recorded on appropriate paperwork and signed for progressively.
  • Ensuring the correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials.
  • Verifying aircraft status regarding scheduled tasks and deferred items, confirming serviceability, and signing the Release to Service of the aircraft.
  • Performing duties as assigned by the Site Manager, ensuring timely completion and adherence to Airbus's delivery quality requirements.
  • Conducting On-the-Job Training (OJT) activities as required.
  • Training personnel on the use of maintenance manuals and in all safety directives and FOD procedures.
  • Performing other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess practical working experience with specific helicopter models.

  • Practical working experience in Dauphins/Panther (AS365) aircraft.

Work Environment

This is a contract position based in Makkah, with work locations including Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves working as part of a team within a customer environment, performing maintenance and flight line activities to ensure fleet availability.
