About the Role

SJ Group is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join its Design and Engineering team. This role is integral to developing, coordinating, and implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and standards across multidisciplinary projects. The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring model integrity, data accuracy, and fostering effective collaboration among design teams and project stakeholders. The position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM workflows to ensure model accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Manage and integrate models from various disciplines, including architecture, structural, and MEP, to facilitate coordination and clash detection.
• Support project teams in the setup, development, and ongoing management of BIM models throughout the design and construction phases.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and resolve model-related issues to maintain the integrity and quality of BIM data.
• Assist in the preparation and updating of BIM documentation, standards, templates, and protocols.
• Collaborate closely with design managers, discipline leads, and contractors to ensure alignment with project objectives and BIM requirements.
• Provide BIM-related technical support, guidance, and training to project team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM coordination for multidisciplinary design or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in managing BIM for large-scale or complex projects.
• Familiarity with international BIM standards, such as ISO 19650 or equivalent.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, along with other essential BIM-related software.
• Experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms, including BIM 360, ACC, or Aconex.
• A comprehensive understanding of design coordination, model management, and clash detection workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet project deadlines.
