CONSULTANT PEDIATRIC GASTROENTEROLOGY

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Jeddah is seeking a Consultant, Pediatric Gastroenterology. This full-time position involves the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions within the field of Pediatric Gastroenterology, ensuring the provision of high-quality medical care in accordance with established medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across all aspects of Pediatric Gastroenterology, adhering to approved clinical privileges.
• Offer consultation services for inpatients and emergency room cases upon request, responding promptly within the timeframe outlined by hospital policy.
• Ensure the timely completion, accuracy, and eligibility of medical records.
• Provide on-call service, maintaining availability and response times in accordance with hospital policy.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities related to Pediatric Gastroenterology as assigned.

Academic and Educational Contributions

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Participate in the Department’s educational activities and training programs.
• Partake in national and international medical conferences.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and fulfill continuing education requirements.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Pediatric Gastroenterology.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Jeddah.
