Role Overview

Jensen Hughes is seeking an Engineer - Room Integrity & Fire Life Safety Testing to join the dedicated Fire & Life Safety Testing team. Based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this full-time role focuses on providing specialist testing and inspection services for fire protection and life safety systems across the region. The position requires 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct Door Fan / Room Integrity Tests for clean agent and gaseous suppression systems in accordance with NFPA 2001 and ISO 14520. This includes hold-time calculations and leak identification.
• Set up, operate, and maintain specialist Retrotec testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Conduct and support other Fire & Life Safety testing activities, such as smoke control and pressurization, fire alarm and suppression system functional/integrated testing, and emergency lighting checks.
• Record and analyze test results, prepare technical reports, identify non-conformances, and provide recommendations for leak sealing or remedial actions.
• Coordinate testing activities with contractors, consultants, facility operators, and authorities to ensure effective site execution and communication.
• Comply with all HSE, permit-to-work, security, and site-specific requirements, particularly when working in live and operational facilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in fire protection or life safety testing.
• Proficiency in conducting Room Integrity Testing (Door Fan Testing) for clean agent and gaseous fire suppression systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA 2001 and ISO 14520 standards.
• Experience with Retrotec testing equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of smoke control and pressurization systems, fire alarm and suppression systems, and emergency lighting.
