About Brenntag Saudi Arabia and the Role

Brenntag Saudi Arabia is seeking an External Account Manager for its Beauty & Care Department, which encompasses Personal Care, Cosmetics, and Cleaning product lines. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role is an integral part of the commercial team, responsible for developing and delivering value-added sales activities.

Strategic Sales and Market Development

The External Account Manager will drive strategic initiatives to expand market presence and achieve financial objectives. Key responsibilities in this area include:

  • Developing a growth and margin-oriented strategy focused on lucrative financial gain and customer satisfaction for raw material and chemical sales in the Cosmetics, Personal Care, and Cleaning industries.
  • Searching for new potential customers and deciding on price and sales strategies.
  • Promoting new raw materials by referring to customer current projects or proactively developing new business/trends market presentations.
  • Researching current market conditions and following competitor prices and new launches.

Customer Relationship Management

This role involves active management of customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and resolving financial matters. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the finance status and payment schedule of customers.
  • Finding solutions to customer payment problems.
  • Reporting to suppliers quarterly with customer feedback on project pipelines and monthly sales figures.

Supplier Engagement and Market Intelligence

The External Account Manager will serve as a key liaison with suppliers, facilitating technical promotion and market insights. This includes:

  • Communicating with suppliers regarding technical promotion and new launches, and promoting these to the team and customers in your portfolio.
  • Traveling abroad for supplier training meetings, technical seminars, related market global and local fairs, and participating in webinars and teleconferences with suppliers.
  • Providing quarterly reports to suppliers concerning market competition/potentials.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following:

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
  • A hands-on approach to account management and commercial activities.

Work Location and Travel

This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Extensive travel within Saudi Arabia is a mandatory requirement for this role, alongside occasional international travel for supplier engagements and industry events.
