About the Role

Olayan Food Division is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position is critical for boosting sales appointments and expanding the customer base through effective top-of-funnel prospecting and lead-generation activities. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Sales and Lead Generation Responsibilities

• Create top-of-funnel sales opportunities through outbound cold calling to prospective customers.
• Follow up on all inbound leads and customer requests to pre-qualify prospects.
• Set meetings between first-level qualified prospects and the Department Head.
• Conduct market research to identify key commercial and industrial customers for distributed solar leasing/PPA and energy efficiency systems within the KSA market, maintaining a healthy pipeline.
• Maintain an updated and accurate customer database, including removing duplicates and correcting data.
• Enter customer and opportunity information from mapping exercises within the assigned market.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Maintain a log of technical requests with dates.
• Keep track of site visit appointments with the Site Engineer.
• Coordinate with Legal and Finance departments when required.
• Follow up on requests with the appointed Design Engineer.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, permits, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project development.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare weekly reports, status updates, and feedback on opportunities and projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, contracts, and correspondence.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this full-time Sales Engineer role should possess 2-5 years of experience in a sales engineering capacity or a closely related field, demonstrating proficiency in sales funnel management and client engagement.
