Role Overview: Senior Operator, Main Pulpit

The Senior Operator, Main Pulpit is a full-time position responsible for overseeing critical production processes from the main control pulpit. This role requires a vigilant and responsive individual capable of ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and adherence to safety standards within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Report all unsafe conditions promptly to the Production Shift In-Charge and relevant Mechanical and Electrical personnel.
• Address quality-related concerns raised by the QC Inspector, including issues pertaining to size, weight, or mechanical properties of products.
• Communicate with the finishing roller and, for major issues or those potentially leading to non-prime finished products, initiate a stop to rolling operations and immediately inform the finishing roller and Shift In-Charge.
• Respond swiftly to alarms displayed on the monitor by notifying the concerned area or department and executing the required operational response.
• Document the start and end times of any mill delay, ensuring that all delay details are accurately communicated.
• Record all cobbles that occur during the shift, including pertinent operational details as required.
• Prepare the delay and production reports at the conclusion of each shift, in consultation with the Shift In-Charge.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for the Senior Operator role must possess 2-5 years of experience in an operational capacity, preferably within a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting. A strong aptitude for monitoring complex systems, reacting to operational alerts, and maintaining detailed records is essential. The ability to communicate effectively with various departments and adhere to strict safety and quality protocols is also required.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position located in Jeddah. The role operates within a structured shift environment, demanding consistent attention to detail and proactive engagement with production processes.
