About the Role

Jamjoom Pharma is seeking a Sr. Executive – Procurement to manage end-to-end procurement activities for engineering spare parts, technical services, facility requirements, and consumables. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and requires 2-5 years of experience. The role is crucial for ensuring procurement aligns with operational needs, budgets, and technical specifications, while supporting business continuity through effective MRO procurement.

Procurement Management

The Sr. Executive – Procurement will oversee the entire procurement cycle, from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO), delivery, and Goods Receipt (GR). A key focus will be ensuring the timely availability of essential items including engineering spare parts, consumables, technical services, and facility-related materials. This involves developing robust sourcing strategies for spare parts, service contracts, and facility management needs, and proactively identifying critical or long lead-time items to establish sourcing plans.

Supplier and Cost Optimization

This role requires optimizing sourcing strategies by evaluating options between Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), distributors, and local suppliers. The executive will conduct Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, assessing suppliers based on technical capability, responsiveness, quality, and cost. Applying Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles is essential when evaluating proposals, considering lifecycle costs, maintenance, spare parts availability, energy efficiency, and service reliability. Negotiation of pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contractual conditions will be a core responsibility. Establishing Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs) and framework agreements for recurring needs will also be part of the role, alongside managing supplier performance and developing alternative suppliers for critical categories.

Compliance and Collaboration

Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, approval matrices, and audit requirements is paramount. The Sr. Executive – Procurement will monitor procurement spend against approved budgets and actively support cost optimization initiatives. Maintaining accurate procurement documentation and records is also a key duty. Close collaboration with internal departments, including Engineering, Maintenance, Facility Management, QA, EHS, and Finance, is expected. Regular updates on procurement activities, supplier performance, issues, and cost-saving initiatives will be provided.
