KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Safety Officer to join its team in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, for a full-time position.

The Role of Safety Officer

The Safety Officer is responsible for conducting safety inspections of equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure the safety of personnel engaged in Oil & Gas Facilities. This role involves implementing and monitoring safety protocols to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure the safety of workers engaged in Oil & Gas Facilities.
• Examine safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and tools, replacing those that do not meet established safety requirements.
• Observe crews at work and report any laxity in safety precautions, such as the failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, and other safety devices.
• Assess the conditions of ditches and tunnels and recommend the use of braces to prevent cave-ins that could endanger workers.
• Investigate accidents to determine their causes and devise effective preventive measures.
• Instruct workers in the proper use of safety equipment and adherence to safe work methods.
• Ensure continuous compliance with all safety procedures.
• Encourage the reporting of unsafe acts and conditions among all personnel.
• Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) procedures prior to commencement and throughout work activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Safety Officer position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant safety role, preferably within Oil & Gas Facilities or similar industrial settings.
