Role Overview

Acwa China is seeking a dedicated CCR Operator I to join its team in Rabigh. This full-time position is central to monitoring and controlling unit and plant operation parameters, ensuring seamless coordination with other operators on all related activities that impact overall plant operations.

Core Operational Duties

Monitor all parameters of the assigned unit and accurately record periodic readings on log sheets.
Summarize all operational activities and significant events that occur during the shift in the log book.
Inspect the unit and its auxiliary equipment throughout the shift to confirm all parameters remain within specified operational limits.
Report any observed abnormalities promptly to the Shift Supervisor or Shift Charge Engineer.
Perform equipment changeovers in strict accordance with preset schedules.
Demonstrate vigilance and take swift, decisive actions during abnormal operating conditions to maintain plant stability.

Compliance and Support Responsibilities

Comply with all safety rules and regulations, maintaining thorough familiarity with fire equipment located within the designated area.
Maintain comprehensive familiarity with plant P&IDs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, Operation and Control Logics, Emergency Operation Procedures, and all other pertinent operational documents.
Follow all instructions provided by the Shift Charge Engineer and Shift Supervisor, coordinating effectively with other operators on all operational activities.
Coordinate and ensure proper Lock Out & Tag Out procedures are implemented during the isolation of equipment for maintenance, adhering to the approved Permit To Work procedure. Normalize equipment as instructed after cancellation.
Conduct periodic protection tests under the supervision of the Shift Charge Engineer or Supervisor, maintaining accurate records of these tests.
Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment and actively follow up on the rectification of these defects.
Assist in the training and familiarization process for new operators joining the team.
Report all near misses and implement prescribed risk controls to enhance workplace safety.
Report any deviations observed within the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System.
Ensure proper waste disposal measures are consistently followed.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the continuous and safe operation of the plant.

Required Experience

Candidates for the CCR Operator I position must possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in plant operations or a similar industrial control room environment.

This is a full-time role based in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic plant environment that requires strict adherence to operational and safety protocols.
