About the Role

Maaden is seeking a Senior Engineer Process (Di Ammonium Phosphate) to join their team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. This full-time role involves advancing the application and integration of engineering technology within the assigned discipline or project portfolio, delivering expert engineering solutions to enhance operational performance and manage risk.

Job Purpose

The Senior Engineer operates independently to analyze complex engineering challenges, develop and implement fit-for-purpose solutions, and provide credible technical advice to stakeholders. This role contributes to continuous improvement, research and development, knowledge transfer, and the development of junior engineers, while recognizing when additional guidance or specialist support is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering solutions and technical advice to improve business performance and organizational competitiveness.
• Develop cost-effective technical solutions within agreed quality, schedule, and risk parameters.
• Analyze engineering components, systems, and processes to identify and implement operational improvements.
• Optimize equipment, systems, and processes by balancing technical, operational, and financial requirements.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis, Process Hazard Analysis, and Risk Assessment activities.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules, technical procedures, safe work instructions, and inspection reports.
• Define and improve quality standards, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Review and sign off technical work within the assigned discipline and supervise work completed by peers, contractors, and consultants.
• Monitor process and risk impacts, implementing appropriate reporting and corrective actions.
• Plan and manage engineering projects in line with agreed targets and business requirements.
• Manage personal work priorities and delivery commitments independently.
• Provide engineering advice that supports programs, systems, and business decisions.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers, transferring technical expertise through structured knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Build credible working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and external engineering companies.
• Promote HSE policies and procedures through consistent safe work practices and proactively identify safety hazards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to apply relevant technologies and industry knowledge to strengthen technical delivery.
• Proven capability in conducting research and development that leads to practical engineering solutions.
• Experience in managing technical risks, HSE requirements, and delivery outcomes across assigned work.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to maintain technical mastery.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. The role requires collaboration with various teams, managers, business leaders, customers, suppliers, universities, and specialist bodies to enhance the organization’s technical knowledge base.
