About the Senior Cost Specialist Role

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cost Specialist to join our team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. This full-time position involves forecasting, controlling, and reporting project costs within the organization. The specialist will be responsible for developing and providing project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and comprehensive completion reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecast, control, and report project costs as required by the organization.
• Develop and provide detailed project variances, expenditure trends, and analytical reports.
• Prepare comprehensive project completion reports.
• Review project costs incurred across various categories.
• Calculate future costs based on factors such as labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract agreements, wage rates, and risk analysis.

Problem Solving and Process Improvement

• Solve complex problems that require detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices in project controls, operating under general supervision.
• Utilize experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve existing processes.

Team Leadership and Guidance

• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• An undergraduate degree is typically required for the skills needed in this role.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant field is essential.
