About the Role

Air Products Qudra is seeking an EPMS Engineer to join our team in Duba. This full-time role is central to ensuring the successful resolution and closeout of all outstanding technical, functional, integration, testing, and commissioning issues related to Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS). The EPMS Engineer will coordinate with various project stakeholders, including engineering contractors, vendors, commissioning teams, and operations personnel, to guarantee the EPMS is fully functional, compliant with project requirements, and prepared for final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize all EPMS punch list items and outstanding actions, maintaining a comprehensive issue tracker with owners, target dates, and status updates.
• Investigate technical issues, determine root causes, coordinate corrective actions, and verify formal closure of all identified issues.
• Provide technical expertise on EPMS architecture, hardware, software, networking, and system integration, including reviewing configuration settings, alarms, events, reports, and monitoring functions.
• Support troubleshooting of communication issues between EPMS and integrated systems such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, protection relays, and meters.
• Develop and execute test procedures for issue verification and closeout, witnessing and documenting retesting activities, and ensuring successful completion of all functional, integration, and reliability tests.
• Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and performance testing activities.
• Interface with EPMS suppliers, system integrators, OEMs, and EPC contractors, monitoring vendor action items and facilitating technical meetings to drive issue resolution.
• Review and approve technical submissions, software revisions, and configuration changes.
• Ensure all as-built documentation is complete and accurate, reviewing operating procedures, maintenance manuals, and user guides.
• Verify closure of all comments from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), SAT, commissioning, and operational readiness reviews, supporting final handover to operations and maintenance teams.
• Provide regular status reports on outstanding issues, risks, and mitigation plans, highlighting critical path items and escalating unresolved technical issues to project management as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–10+ years of experience in electrical power systems, SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS), or EPMS projects.
• Proven experience with commissioning and troubleshooting electrical monitoring and control systems.
• Demonstrated track record in managing punch lists and closeout activities during project execution.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of power system monitoring, protection, and control systems.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP3, OPC, and Ethernet networks.
• Experience with electrical substations, switchgear, protection relays, energy meters, and power management systems.
• Understanding of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and handover processes.
• Ability to analyze system logs, alarms, events, and performance data.
