Role Summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager Maintenance of Way to join its team in Turaif, Northern Frontier. This full-time role involves leading and managing all Maintenance of Way activities for railway infrastructure. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring maintenance works are delivered efficiently, safely, and to required standards, while managing stakeholder relationships and project financials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all Maintenance of Way activities, including track, turnouts, ballast, drainage systems, and trackside assets.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, work schedules, and project execution plans.
  • Ensure maintenance works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor project performance through KPIs and provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and operational challenges.
  • Oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure track inspections are conducted in accordance with maintenance standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review asset condition data and implement improvement initiatives to enhance asset reliability and lifecycle performance.
  • Coordinate track possessions and access arrangements with railway operations teams.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with railway safety standards, company procedures, and client requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
  • Act as the primary interface with clients, consultants, regulators, and subcontractors, managing expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures, including reviewing and approving subcontractor performance and invoices.
  • Lead multidisciplinary maintenance teams, supervisors, engineers, and planners, including developing workforce plans, training requirements, and conducting performance evaluations.

Required Experience

  • Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
