About the Opportunity

Big Fish Consult is seeking an Asset Operation Manager to join their client's Operations team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to optimizing asset performance, driving operational excellence, and leading high-performing teams within a diverse portfolio of operational assets.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Asset Operation Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing the operation and maintenance of the company's assets. The primary objective is to ensure assets are safe, reliable, and operating at peak efficiency, while maximizing lifecycle value and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the operation and maintenance of the company's operational assets to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, maintenance plans, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize asset availability and reliability.
• Monitor operational performance, maintenance KPIs, and asset health, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, quality standards, and operational requirements.
• Manage operational and maintenance budgets while identifying cost optimization opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and government authorities to support operational activities.
• Support the transition and operational readiness of newly completed assets.
• Prepare executive reports, operational dashboards, and performance updates for senior management.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to support business continuity.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Asset Operations team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience as an Asset Operations Manager. The role requires a professional with a demonstrated ability to optimize asset performance, drive operational excellence, and effectively lead teams in a dynamic operational environment.

Leadership and Collaboration

A key aspect of this role involves leading, mentoring, and developing the Asset Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Manager will also coordinate extensively with internal departments, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and government authorities to ensure seamless operational support and achieve business objectives.
