The Role of Demand Forecast Analyst

Almarai is seeking a Demand Forecast Analyst to join its team in Makkah, King Abdullah Economic City, or Rabigh. This full-time role is central to ensuring the preparation of demand forecasts for the Seafood Business, with a continuous focus on improving accuracy levels. The analyst will consider various factors influencing demand, utilizing the PROCAST system (Forecasting software) to support these efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure demand planners maintain the IBP system with clean, up-to-date data, reconciling all SKUs weekly by depot.
• Accurately set up new SKUs and immediately reflect any changes in product or geographic hierarchy within the system.
• Capture future and past events accurately within the IBP system.
• Update rolling 18-month forecasts on a weekly-monthly basis, broken down by week, depot, and SKU.
• Submit and ensure that regional/local level events are incorporated into the forecast through bottom-up forecasting.

Factors for Demand Forecasting

The Demand Forecast Analyst will integrate a range of factors into forecast models. These include historical sales patterns, market trends, seasonality, and the impact of past and future events such as sales and marketing plans. Additionally, economical factors, weather conditions, government regulations, and competitive activities will be considered to refine forecast accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in demand forecasting or a related analytical role.
• Proficiency in using forecasting software, specifically the PROCAST system.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
