About the Opportunity

Everhires is seeking an Exploration Director on behalf of its client, a prominent provider of mining and geological services. This full-time executive position is based at the client's Head Office in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role is pivotal in leading and expanding the mineral exploration consulting business across Saudi Arabia and international markets.

Role Overview and Strategic Impact

The Exploration Director will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This leadership role encompasses strategic business development, technical governance, multi-disciplinary team leadership, and managing high-level client relationships to drive commercial growth and service expansion.

Core Responsibilities

• Drive commercial growth and define market strategy to expand the consulting service portfolio, including exploration, resource evaluation, geotechnical, and environmental/ESG services.
• Provide strategic oversight for target generation, drilling programs, and resource evaluation.
• Oversee complex client engagements and manage project performance metrics, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Foster an accountability-driven consulting culture within the team.
• Mentor senior exploration geologists and technical consultants, establishing clear succession plans and capability development frameworks.

Technical Standards and Operational Excellence

A critical aspect of this role involves ensuring all technical activities align with international best practices and reporting standards such as JORC, NI 43-101, and S-K 1300. The Director will uphold rigorous technical governance across all projects and operations.

Candidate Profile and Mandatory Criteria

Candidates must possess over 10 years of experience and have previously held a senior technical or management leadership position within an established geological or mining consulting firm. Experience limited exclusively to owner-operator or mining companies, without prior consulting leadership experience, will not meet the qualification requirements for this role.
