About the Role

Alrawaf Contracting is seeking a Logistics Lead to manage all logistics activities for its projects within Saudi Arabia. This full-time position, based in Makkah (with operations in Jeddah and Makkah), requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement, receipt, storage, and distribution of construction materials, equipment, tools, and personnel. The role emphasizes compliance with project requirements, company policies, HSE standards, and applicable Saudi regulations.

The Logistics Lead will collaborate closely with project management, procurement, engineering, construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, transporters, and warehouse personnel to maintain uninterrupted project operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project-specific logistics plans, procedures, and schedules, aligning them with construction timelines and milestones.
  • Coordinate the delivery, receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of construction materials and equipment, ensuring timely site delivery according to schedules and priorities.
  • Manage project transportation activities, including fleet utilization, maintenance, and compliance with company, client, and Saudi regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee site logistics operations, including access control, traffic flow, unloading areas, laydown yards, and material staging, preventing congestion and establishing safe routes.
  • Coordinate warehouse and laydown-yard logistics, including receiving, issuing, transferring, and tracking materials, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and transport companies to ensure logistics activities comply with project schedules and contractual requirements, resolving any related issues.
  • Ensure all logistics activities adhere to company and project HSE requirements, implementing safe systems of work and complying with KSA transportation and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain logistics schedules, delivery records, vehicle logs, and material movement documentation, preparing regular reports and tracking KPIs.
  • Monitor logistics expenditure, identify cost reduction opportunities, and optimize transportation routes, vehicle utilization, and storage capacity.

Working Conditions

This role is primarily project/site-based and may require extended hours, weekends, or shifts depending on project demands. It involves regular coordination with various stakeholders, including suppliers, subcontractors, warehouses, transporters, and project teams. Frequent movement within construction sites and logistics/laydown areas is expected.

Employment Requirements – KSA

  • Valid authorization to work in Saudi Arabia.
  • Valid Saudi/Iqama documentation as applicable.
  • Valid driving license where required by the position.
