About the Role

Tractebel is seeking a Senior Design Civil Engineer to join their team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience in civil engineering design and review.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications for civil engineering projects.
• Coordinate design reviews with contractors and consultants.
• Manage design works in collaboration with contractors and consultants.
• Ensure internal coordination with other engineering disciplines.

Experience and Skill Set

• Review EPC submitted engineering documents for Civil, Structural, and Architectural disciplines.
• Evaluate Master Documents List (MDL), design criteria, foundation drawings, and design calculations.
• Assess building layouts, architecture plans and elevations, roads, and drainage layouts.
• Review studies, manuals, and attend testing as required, including test procedures and reports.
• Review construction method statements and vendor materials procurement.
• Evaluate proposed vendor/supplier designs and drawings.
• Manage design and field changes, as-built drawings, and conduct risk assessment and mitigation.
• Review IFC/AFC/AFI drawings, red markup, and as-built drawings.
• Evaluate claims and change orders, and prepare close-out reports for LSTK Steam Power Plant Gas Conversion Projects.
• Oversee all design review scope and activities for base and detailed engineering submittals, drawings, and documents.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in design, engineering, and review.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant International Standards.
• Proficiency in relevant design software.
• Well-versed in MS Office and familiar with MIS.
• Strong English communication skills and demonstrated leadership qualities.

Work Environment

This full-time role is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with project responsibilities covering both Jeddah and Makkah. The position involves working within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders.
