About the Role

Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel, is seeking a dedicated Server to join its team in Makkah. This permanent position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 year of experience who are committed to delivering exceptional guest service. Reporting to the Outlet Manager, the Server is responsible for upholding Fairmont’s Service Plus Standards, ensuring professional, friendly, and warm interactions with all guests.

Key Responsibilities

The Server plays a crucial role in the restaurant's daily operations, focusing on guest satisfaction and adherence to service protocols. Key responsibilities include:

• Consistently offering professional, friendly, and warm service to all guests.
• Demonstrating a complete understanding of restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards as outlined by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
• Maintaining full knowledge of the menu, beverage lists, and all special promotions within the outlet and hotel, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Answering guest questions about menu items informatively and helpfully.
• Taking corrective action for service errors to ensure solutions exceed guest expectations.
• Understanding shift end reports, non-cash/cash transactions, and procedures for depositing monies.
• Operating all equipment used in the outlet efficiently and safely.

Operational Duties and Team Collaboration

This role involves active participation in team efforts and maintaining operational standards. Responsibilities extend to:

• Reporting for duty punctually and in full uniform, adhering to appearance and grooming standards.
• Promoting and maintaining positive working relationships with all colleagues.
• Understanding each service station and all assigned side duties.
• Attending pre-meal briefings, weekly, and monthly meetings to contribute to improving the guest experience.
• Carrying out miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as requested by management to ensure total quality service.

Safety, Ethics, and Compliance

Adherence to hotel policies and safety regulations is paramount for this position, ensuring a secure and compliant environment for both guests and staff.

• Fully understanding and following the hotel’s recycling program and procedures.
• Actively participating in all health and safety procedures for the outlet and the entire hotel.
• Following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Adhering to the hotel’s telephone etiquette standards.
• Following Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Reporting suspicious people, parcels, and behaviors to Security.
• Ensuring adherence to Fairmont’s Code of Ethics.
