About the Role: Shipping Clerk

CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd, a part of Crown Holdings, is seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join its team in the Makkah region, covering operations in both Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is essential for managing the preparation and dispatch of finished goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipping operations.

Role Overview and Impact

The Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining inventory integrity and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. This position directly contributes to operational success by ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, adhering to established schedules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure products are ready for shipment according to schedules.
• Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders, confirming correct quantities, product types, and addresses.
• Arrange transportation and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Load and unload trucks, when necessary, utilizing appropriate equipment and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of shipped goods and materials.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipping statuses and issues.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all shipping activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as required, including organizing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience (0-1 year) as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.

• Proficiency in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks required in a warehouse setting.
