We are seeking a Sr. Stamping Equipment Engineer to join our team in King Abdullah Economic City, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring efficient and reliable production of world-class products.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Sr. Stamping Equipment Engineer will lead the planning, installation, commissioning, and execution of Stamping equipment. This role is critical for delivering products on time, with the required quality, and cost-effectively. Key responsibilities include managing feasibility studies, production capacity planning, construction, and supporting the Stamping Process. The engineer will lead cross-functional teams through the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases, driving informed business decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct meetings to address issues related to RFQ, feasibility, equipment design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and execution of stamping equipment.
  • Lead technical design and review meetings for the development of Stamping equipment.
  • Coordinate all investment stages with suppliers, Manufacturing Engineering (ME), and Stamping Shop teams.
  • Create and modify Microsoft Project schedules, ensuring task prioritization and adherence to project milestones.
  • Report project updates to executive leadership.
  • Analyze product design changes and their impact on Stamping equipment, mitigating risks and identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Manage internal Lucid customers, assessing their needs regarding priorities, deadlines, and quantities, and driving suppliers for on-time deliverables.
  • Manage on-site installation and commissioning planning with equipment integrators.
  • Track and manage equipment test runs for Start of Production (SOP).
  • Generate Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for Stamping Equipment and evaluate integrator proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmentally safe practices and regulations.
  • Develop and execute Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) requirements for pre-acceptance with integrators.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production requirements, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future needs.
  • Support vendor selection for all applicable equipment related to the manufacturing line.
  • Manage multiple equipment investments and tasks simultaneously, effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering – Industrial Equipment Engineering, with at least 5 years of professional experience, OR a technical Apprenticeship with 10+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience in Project Management and Stamping Engineering within high-volume Stamping Lines and a Greenfield Stamping environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships with diverse individuals in a Die manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of current manufacturing techniques in a Stamping environment, including extensive Servo Tandem Press lines, Laser Blanking Lines, Cranes, Scrap Conveyor Equipment, tooling, metal stamping, assembly, and testing.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical, and automation features for Stamping equipment.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse global Stamping Equipment suppliers from various countries.
  • Strong mechanical, time management, and analysis skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including peers, subordinates, supervisors, and management.
  • Capability to stay current with state-of-the-art technologies and practices related to metal stamping processes, and to develop innovative solutions when required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, SAP, and AutoCAD. 3D Design experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including international travel to visit suppliers.
