About the Role

Hilton is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to join its Hotels team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of the physical building and its systems, contributing to the delivery of guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Chief Engineer will perform a range of duties, including:

Leading and developing a high-performing team through recruitment, training, supervision, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Assisting the Chief Engineer with managing daily maintenance operations, overseeing activities, prioritizing tasks, and verifying completion via the property maintenance management system.
Ensuring timely resolution of service requests, guest concerns, and emergencies.
Overseeing the maintenance of the physical building, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems, coordinating inspections, and upholding safety and compliance standards.
Supporting the Chief Engineer in driving engineering performance by monitoring departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as equipment upkeep, audit results, and team productivity.
Collaborating with the broader hotel leadership team in overseeing evacuation procedures, duty manager coverage, and other safety protocols.
Supervising external contractors and inspecting completed work for quality and compliance.
Leading and overseeing property-wide energy conservation programs to reduce utility costs.
