About the Role

Hilton is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to join its Hotels team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of the physical building and its systems, contributing to the delivery of guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Chief Engineer will perform a range of duties, including:

• Leading and developing a high-performing team through recruitment, training, supervision, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Assisting the Chief Engineer with managing daily maintenance operations, overseeing activities, prioritizing tasks, and verifying completion via the property maintenance management system.
• Ensuring timely resolution of service requests, guest concerns, and emergencies.
• Overseeing the maintenance of the physical building, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems, coordinating inspections, and upholding safety and compliance standards.
• Supporting the Chief Engineer in driving engineering performance by monitoring departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as equipment upkeep, audit results, and team productivity.
• Collaborating with the broader hotel leadership team in overseeing evacuation procedures, duty manager coverage, and other safety protocols.
• Supervising external contractors and inspecting completed work for quality and compliance.
• Leading and overseeing property-wide energy conservation programs to reduce utility costs.
