About the Role

Nestlé, the world’s largest Food and Beverage Company, is seeking an Associate Manager Logistics Optimization to join its team. This full-time position is based in the Makkah region, with operational scope covering Jeddah and Makkah. The role focuses on managing inbound and outbound transportation operations within the plant, ensuring the smooth and cost-effective movement of goods across the supply chain.

Role Overview and Objectives

As an Associate Manager Logistics Optimization, you will play a critical role in enhancing Nestlé's dynamic and efficient supply chain. This involves optimizing transportation planning, coordinating effectively with logistics providers, and ensuring strict compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. The position requires close collaboration with warehouse teams, suppliers, and external transport providers to drive efficiency and meet business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily inbound and outbound transport activities to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Optimize transport planning to reduce costs while maintaining service excellence.
• Ensure full compliance with Nestlé SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) standards and local transport regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to align transport schedules with operational needs.
• Monitor carrier performance, address service issues, and drive continuous improvements.
• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of shipments, reducing delays and discrepancies.
• Support cost control initiatives by identifying and implementing transport efficiency improvements.

Operational Duties and Performance

• Schedule and oversee daily inbound and outbound transport activities.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure transport operations align with Nestlé’s SHE and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections of transport operations.
• Track and analyze transport KPIs, including on-time delivery, cost per trip, and carrier efficiency.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and service improvement.
• Work closely with warehouse teams to synchronize transport with material handling.
• Address transport-related issues and work with suppliers for resolution.
• Maintain accurate transport records, invoices, and compliance documents.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position are required to have 2-5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation planning, or supply chain management. A strong understanding of transport operations, compliance standards, and performance monitoring is essential for success in this role.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time role within Nestlé's operations in the Makkah region, specifically covering the cities of Jeddah and Makkah. The successful candidate will operate within a structured supply chain environment, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
