Buyer / (Senior Buyer)

About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a Buyer / Senior Buyer to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves preparing, executing, and monitoring all procurement activities to ensure efficient operations, timely delivery, optimal quality, and competitive pricing. The position requires adherence to approved vendors, company policies, and regulatory standards, with a focus on overseeing complex purchases and aligning with supply chain objectives across designated Fakeeh Care functions or entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute purchase requests promptly, ensuring compliance with Fakeeh Care policies and procedures.
• Source critical and high-demand items from multiple approved suppliers, identifying viable alternatives.
• Verify timely completion of purchase orders in alignment with procurement standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct annual vendor performance evaluations and update system records accordingly.
• Identify and engage new suppliers offering improved quality, pricing, and payment terms while maintaining vendor compliance.
• Negotiate with suppliers to confirm orders, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely deliveries, prevent stockouts, and minimize overstocking.
• Maintain accurate system records of purchase orders and generate regular reports on open orders, delivery status, and procurement KPIs.
• Coordinate with warehouses and planning teams for item returns, substitutions, and issues with non-moving or expired stock.
• Provide support to end-users regarding product specifications, RFQs, and RFIs.
• Address operational issues such as delivery delays or product unavailability, recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate system identification of all items with correct coding, descriptions, prices, and units of measure.
• Solicit and review quotations for open tenders and major purchases, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
• Manage tender purchases and prepare reports summarizing project phases and procurement outcomes.
• Ensure all purchases comply with regulatory standards, including local and regional authority requirements, and committee approvals (ESSC, P&T, FFC).
• Procure only from authorized distributors and maintain sufficient stock levels within approved limits.
• Prepare and submit periodic procurement reports, including cost savings, supplier performance, and stock returns.
• Recommend process enhancements, utilize digital quotation platforms, and contribute to workflow improvements.
• Provide coaching and support to colleagues (Senior Buyer level) to resolve challenges and improve procurement efficiency.
• Perform other assigned duties within the scope of the job.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex procurement activities.
• Strong understanding of supply chain objectives and regulatory compliance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, within the Fakeeh Care Group. The role involves working collaboratively with various internal teams and external suppliers to achieve procurement objectives.
