Swissôtel Makkah and Swissôtel Al Maqam are five-star hotels located within the prestigious Abraj Al Bait complex in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Swissôtel Makkah, the first Swissôtel property in Saudi Arabia, offers 1500 rooms and suites. Swissôtel Al Maqam, the second property, provides 1624 rooms and suites. Both hotels feature modern design, two restaurants, an executive lounge, two meeting rooms, a business center, and private entrances for pilgrims, offering views of the Ka’aba and the Grand Mosque.

The Role

As the Cluster Director of Sales for Swissôtel Makkah & Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah, you will report to the Cluster General Manager. This full-time role involves leading the sales strategy and execution for both hotels, focusing on driving account growth, business conversion, and revenue delivery. The position also includes developing and managing a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute annual sales plans for both hotels, aligning with budgets, forecasts, market segments, and the overall commercial strategy.
Collaborate with the Group Commercial Strategy Director to identify business needs and coordinate actions with Accor Sales, ISR, and key source markets.
Lead proactive sales across assigned segments and accounts, focusing on growing existing production, acquiring new accounts, and converting qualified opportunities.
Prepare and negotiate sales contracts and agreements in accordance with approved pricing, credit, contracting, and business conditions.
Monitor leads, offers, options, and group business with Sales Operations and Reservations to ensure timely follow-up, conversion, materialization, and replacement of released business.
Direct sales forecasting with Revenue Management, maintaining accurate annual and monthly forecasts, booking pace, account production, pipeline, and lead management reports.
Participate in the annual Sales and Market Plan, quarterly updates, and hotel budgets, implementing tactical actions in response to demand and competitive changes.
Maintain distinct sales plans for each hotel, reflecting their positioning, market mix, inventory, and priorities for Umrah, Ramadan, and Hajj.
Lead, coach, and develop the Sales team, setting clear account ownership, market coverage, activity plans, targets, and performance standards.
Produce accurate management reports and present monthly sales contribution, account performance, market activity, and priorities to senior management and owners.
Maintain strong product knowledge for both hotels and represent them through sales calls, site inspections, trade shows, roadshows, and key account meetings.
Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Marketing, Distribution, Banqueting, and hotel operations to optimize conversion, guest experience, and overall commercial performance.
