Role Summary: Director of Residence (Saudi National)

As the Director of Residence at Novotel Residences in Makkah, this full-time role involves leading and overseeing the complete homeowner and resident experience. This includes managing pre-move-in preparations through day-to-day residential living. The Director is responsible for ensuring residents receive high standards of hospitality and residential service in line with Novotel standards, creating a well-managed, comfortable, and welcoming residential environment. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategically lead and manage the Resident Journey from pre-move-in to ongoing residency.
• Establish and maintain high standards of residential service through operational procedures, policies, and training programs.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with homeowners and residents, serving as the primary point of contact.
• Oversee all aspects of residential operations, including maintenance, security, concierge services, housekeeping standards, and common areas.
• Manage vendor contracts and monitor performance to ensure quality and compliance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of residential employees.
• Conduct regular inspections of residential units and common areas to maintain high operational and presentation standards.
• Collaborate with hotel departmental managers for seamless coordination between residential and hotel services.
• Manage the financial performance of the residential operation, including budget preparation, monitoring, and expense control.
• Prepare and analyze operational and financial reports for management.
• Lead, develop, mentor, and motivate a high-performing residential team.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with homeowners and stakeholders, supporting the enforcement of residential rules and community guidelines.
• Organize and attend homeowners' or residents' meetings, documenting concerns and decisions.
• Handle resident complaints and service recovery cases professionally and effectively.
• Develop and maintain an effective communication framework with residents.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in hospitality, residential, property, or related service management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or director-level position.
• Proven experience in residential operations, property management, or mixed-use property management, preferably within a high-end hotel or residential environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage residential operations across multiple functions (Housekeeping, Maintenance & Engineering, Security, Concierge, Resident Services).
• Strong track record of leading high-performing teams and fostering a culture of service excellence.
• Exceptional customer service and relationship-management skills, including handling homeowner and resident relations and service recovery.
• Strong knowledge of residential operations, property standards, preventive maintenance, and facilities management.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service agreements.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget preparation, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in property management systems, hotel systems, Microsoft Office, and other hospitality technology platforms.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and crisis-management skills.
• Understanding of hospitality service standards and residential service expectations.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian hospitality regulations, employment requirements, and health and safety standards is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Middle Eastern hospitality and residential market, including cultural awareness, is preferred.
• Experience managing residential communities, branded residences, or mixed-use developments is preferred.
• Relevant certifications or professional designations in hospitality, property, or residential management are preferred.

This role operates within the Novotel Residences in Makkah, requiring collaboration with various hotel departments to ensure seamless integration of residential and hotel services.
