About the Policy Researcher Internship

The European Institute of Policy Research and Human Rights AISBL invites applications for a remote Policy Researcher – Internship. Internship Focus and Skill Development

Selected interns will operate under structured guidance and supervision to develop essential research, analytical writing, and policy drafting skills. The role provides practical experience in conducting literature reviews, performing policy analysis, and preparing detailed research notes. A primary objective of the internship is the drafting of a supervised research paper, policy brief, or analytical report.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews on approved topics related to policy, legal frameworks, human rights, governance, or international relations.
• Prepare research summaries, issue notes, and analytical briefs.
• Participate in online supervision and guidance sessions as applicable.
• Draft a research paper, policy brief, or analytical report under supervision.
• Revise written work based on feedback and established research standards.
• Meet agreed deadlines within a remote working environment.
• Adhere to ethical research practices, citation guidelines, originality, and academic integrity requirements.

Program Structure

The internship program is structured into two distinct phases. It begins with a four-week methodology training program, followed by a four-week research writing phase. Prior research publication experience is not a mandatory requirement for applicants.

Eligibility and Candidate Profile

Applicants should meet one of the following academic or professional backgrounds:

• Current Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral students.
• Recent graduates or alumni from recognized universities.
