About IBIS and the Tamayyaz Program

IBIS is offering a full-time opportunity in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia, through its Tamayyaz Nationalization Development Program. The Tamayyaz program is designed to equip Saudi talents with essential skills and knowledge for various hospitality professions through a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training within a structured timeframe.

Role Overview: Guest Service Agent

The Tamayyaz Guest Service Agent is responsible for ensuring a smooth and courteous experience for guests from arrival to departure. This role involves managing daily front office operations, handling guest inquiries and requests, and maintaining efficient communication across departments to support overall hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare for daily arrivals, including room allocation and checking for special guest requests.
Register and process guest check-ins, updating information in the system.
Perform cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, night audit tasks, and settlement upon guest departure.
Handle walk-in counter reservations and process call-in reservations when the room reservations section is closed.
Provide courteous service, responding promptly to all guest requests and inquiries.
Resolve guest complaints and requests, liaising with relevant departments for immediate follow-up and reporting issues to supervisors.
Manage the issuance of guest room key cards and ensure effective control for guest security.
Check and convey messages to guests.
Assist at the Information counter, Foreign Exchange, Night Audit, and Business Centre as assigned.
Review the log book, verify outstanding items, and follow up on pending tasks, identifying any special assignments for the day.
Monitor hotel situation, occupancy, functions, groups, and VIPs.
File daily reception reports and documents systematically.
Print panic reports at least twice per shift.
Attend briefings, take notes, and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
Maintain focus on guests, eye contact, and acknowledge all guests at the desk.
Communicate all necessary information to the next shift for continuous operational efficiency.
Coordinate and share information with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and the General Manager, particularly regarding VIPs.
Maintain familiarity with company documentation and operational standards relevant to the role.
Ensure perfect grooming at all times.
Drive upselling initiatives.
Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested.

Qualifications and Requirements

This program is exclusively for Saudi Nationals.
Open to candidates with 0-1 year of work experience, including fresh graduates and those with up to 6 months of relevant experience.
Basic English language skills are required.
Demonstrated strong passion for the hospitality field.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as a team player and proactively assist co-workers.
Flexibility to work a roster that adapts to departmental needs.
Ability to focus on guest needs, maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor at all times.
