Buyer/ Purchaser

About the Role

Virtucruit is collaborating with a prominent mining company in Saudi Arabia to recruit a Buyer/Purchaser for their Procurement & Supply Chain function. This full-time position is based in Najran, Najran Province, and is critical for ensuring the efficient sourcing, purchasing, and management of materials, equipment, and services essential for mining operations. The role focuses on timely procurement, cost optimization, and effective supplier management while adhering to company policies to support continuous operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental work.
• Create purchase orders in accordance with established Procurement Procedures.
• Execute equipment and project procurement processes as assigned by the Immediate Superior.
• Perform advance payment transactions with the finance department based on PO or Contract Terms.
• Archive tender documents physically and within the server and ERP system as per procurement procedures.
• Prepare contracts and initiate the approval process following technical and commercial evaluations.
• Conduct supplier/contractor pre-qualification processes according to procedures.
• Perform and record supplier/contractor performance measurements with relevant departments.
• Initiate blacklist processes for determined contractors based on performance measurement marks.
• Participate in weekly contract planning meetings.
• Conduct market and product research to ensure continuous purchases under optimal conditions.
• Perform cost analysis for complex and high-value procurements.
• Carry out localization studies for materials sourced internationally.
• Support the development and training of local nationals through mentorship, guidance, and coaching.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing roles, ideally within the mining or heavy industry sector. A strong understanding of supply chain principles and procurement best practices is essential for this position.
