Role Overview

The Buyer, reporting to the Senior Buyer, acts as the primary purchasing agent, negotiator, and dealmaker for Air Products. This full-time position is based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, and involves procuring products and services essential for the company's daily operations. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop purchasing strategies and identify buying trends to maintain business profitability.
• Conduct research to understand available products, their costs, and benefits.
• Source products to achieve the optimal balance of quality, price, and delivery.
• Negotiate policies and contracts with various suppliers.
• Manage deliveries to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Monitor stock levels and verify purchase requisitions.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare necessary reports.
• Cultivate professional relationships with all key suppliers.
• Attend supplier plant visits and vendor interviews to stay informed about industry changes and advancements.
• Manage the buying process for a specified range of goods, adhering to cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Provide technical and commercial assistance to requesting departments to enhance awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge.
• Apply sourcing policy and act as an interface between suppliers and internal entities regarding specifications and budgets.
• Manage problems and schedule changes, ensuring these are accurately reflected within ERP systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar purchasing role.
• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
• Experience conducting vendor interviews and visiting supplier facilities.

This position is based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
