About the Role

Acwa is seeking a full-time HSE Supervisor to join its team in Neom, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies and procedures. The successful candidate will ensure a safe and compliant working environment, supporting the organization's commitment to incident prevention, asset protection, and adherence to legal requirements, client standards, and company policies. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily HSSE activities across project sites.
• Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with company HSSE procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Monitor the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and permit-to-work systems.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety inductions for new employees.
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment activities.
• Coordinate site security requirements, ensure access control procedures are followed, and report security incidents.

Incident and Environmental Management

• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage events.
• Prepare detailed incident investigation reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain incident records and statistics.
• Monitor environmental controls, including waste management, pollution prevention, and spill response.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations, conducting environmental inspections and audits.
• Promote sustainable work practices.

Compliance, Training, and Emergency Response

• Conduct internal HSSE inspections and audits, tracking corrective actions until closure.
• Assist during client and regulatory inspections, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and company management systems.
• Deliver HSSE training programs, conduct emergency drills and evacuation exercises, and promote safety awareness campaigns.
• Mentor supervisors and workers on safe work practices.
• Participate in emergency preparedness planning, coordinate emergency response teams, and ensure emergency equipment is available and inspected.

Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain comprehensive HSSE records and documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSSE reports.
• Monitor inspection checklists and training records.
• Update risk registers and corrective action logs.

Work Environment and Authority

This role is primarily based at construction or industrial project sites, requiring regular site inspections and field monitoring. Work may involve being outdoors in varying weather conditions, with availability for emergency response outside normal working hours when required. The HSSE Supervisor holds the authority to stop any work presenting an imminent danger to personnel, equipment, or the environment, enforce compliance with HSSE policies, recommend disciplinary action for repeated safety violations, and initiate corrective and preventive actions to eliminate identified hazards.
